چکیده

Abstract An optimal use of organic composts derived from animal and food wastes could provide an opportunity to achieve both sustainable crop production soil quality, a lot research has provided the evidence. The nitrogen efficiencies (NUEs) is definition evaluate interaction between (N), and, due this reason, widely used in agriculture. current work tried NUEs as indicator N acquisition capacity physiological responses rice grown under varying levels. To do this, we employed different types rates source, chemical fertilizer, livestock manure-based compost waste manure-containing compost. Despite enhanced growth yield by fertilization, difference fertilization was not observed. Net photosynthetic rate significantly higher treatments 90–317 kg ha -1 . NUE (N uptake efficiency × utilization efficiency) highest lower application groups, sharply reduced with increase rates. In contrast, harvest index (NHI, grain N/total biomass N, ) showed (0.71– 0.76 greater (≤ 317 ). Accordingly, terms NUE, our result suggest that may be affordable less than 300 (combination fertilizer compost). Nevertheless, it should investigated how excess affects long plant can accept without environmental load.

Effects of manure, municipal waste compost and nitrogen on weed communities in corn (Zea mays L.)

A two year field experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of municipal waste compost (C), composted cattle manure (M), and nitrogen (N) on growth and composition of weeds in a corn field in Shiraz using a split-split plot design with 3 replicates. Visual inspection of the plots showed that the manure treatments neither introduced new weed species nor increased weed density more than t...

Urban waste compost, manure and nitrogen fertilizer effects on the initial growth of corn (Zea mays L.)

Field experiment was conducted in 2008 at the Research Field of Agricultural College of Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran to investigate the effects of urban waste compost (UWC), manure and chemical fertilizer on the initial growth of corn (Zea mays). Experimental design was split plot factorial with three replications. Main plots were assigned to nitrogen (N) fertilizer (0 and 200 kg N ha-1), an...

Compost and Manure Effects on Fertilized Corn Silage Yield and Nitrogen Uptake under Irrigation

Dairy manure increases the yields of dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) and spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) from eroded, furrow-irrigated soils and may increase corn (Zea mays L.) silage yield from steeper eroded areas under sprinkler irrigation. In a 2-year field study in southern Idaho on Portneuf silt loam (coarse silty, mixed, superactive, mesic Durinodic Xeric Haplocalcid), the effects o...

Nitrogen, Manure and Municipal Waste Compost Effects on Yield and Photosynthetic Characteristics of Corn (Zea mays L.) Under Weedy Conditions

A two-year field experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of nitrogen, composted manure, municipal waste compost, and weeds on yield and photosynthetic characteristics of corn. Experimental design was split split plot factorial with 3 replications. Main plots were weedy and weed-free, sub plots were nitrogen fertilizer levels [0 (N0) and 200 (N200) kg N ha -1 as urea], and sub sub ...

Impact of 15N-labeled rice straw and rice straw compost application on N mineralization and N uptake by rice

Incorporation of plant residues in soil affects N and C content and dynamics. This studydetermined the effects of short-term alternative rice (Oryza sativa L.) residue management on Nmineralization and uptake by rice. Pot and laboratory incubation experiments were established byincorporating 15N-labeled rice straw and rice straw compost in paddy soil. The 15N recovered by riceaveraged 16.6%; mo...
